    Description

    Technical Designer(s) (full-time, multiple openings) needed in Las Vegas, NV to conceptualize building projects and move them forward through construction documentation into construction administration and eventually construction completion. Participate in all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and production for large-scale commercial and mixed-use core and shell architecture projects. Formulate design presentation strategies and present design concepts to clients and discuss the need for modifications / address modification requests to achieve desired project goals. Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies, and other vendors to resolve complex technical and design issues to meet overall project objectives. Under the supervision of a licensed Architect, establish design standards, space planning, and programming based on clients' functional and spatial requirements while meeting conceptual design goals. Ensure builder compliance with design specifications, and advise on design corrections, under an Architect's supervision.

    Must have a Master's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field, plus two (2) years of design experience with all of the following:

    (1) Translating an architect's sketches and documents into realized 2D/3D models and images using 2D/3D software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, Octane, 3DViz, 3ds MAX, and Rhino utilizing V-Ray;

    (2) Preparing conceptual design and graphic presentation utilizing Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and SketchUp;

    (3) Coordinating with Structural, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), Lighting, Façade, Acoustics, and AV consultants;

    (4) Preparing full Design Development, Schematic Design, Construction Document sets in Revit;

    (5) Utilizing knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and building codes;

    (6) Building Information Modeling (BIM) and parametric design software, including Grasshopper;

    (7) Developing the schematic design of the core and shell of a building, plus the lobby, curtain wall system, parking, elevator banks, core bathrooms and terraces;

    (8) Experience with commercial office buildings of size and scale that requires Type I and II construction with corresponding life-safety requirements; AND

    (9) Participating in projects for hospitality, educational institutions, offices, and banks from schematic design through construction administration.

    In the alternative, we will accept a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field, plus five (5) years of progressive post-bachelor's degree design experience. Two (2) years of the five (5) years of experience must include experience with all of the following:
