LOMPOC VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER- OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

Occupational Therapist (OT)- Skilled Nursing

LVMC is looking for an Occupational Therapist for our Comprehensive Care Center.

Job Description:

• The staff occupational therapist plans, coordinates and implements patient care on the assigned units. Ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner consistent with the unit's standards of care.
• Performs evaluations of patients
• Performs treatment of patients
• Maintains current documentation of patients progress/complaints
• Communicates with physicians regarding patient care
• Delegates care to occupational therapy assistant and maintains proper supervision of patient care
• Co-signs all documentation when appropriate
• Typically sees 6-8 patients/day

Schedule

· Status: Full-time

· Hours per week: 40

· Shift: Monday-Friday

· Weekend Requirements: As needed (Very Rare)

Compensation: $43.48- $59.93 per hour

Position Qualifications

• Education: OT with current valid California license.
• Experience: One year acute or OP Rehabilitative experience, new graduate may be considered.
• Cert/License: Current/valid OT License, CPR Certification required from the American Heart Association and California Drivers license.
• Skills/Ability: Knowledge of occupational therapy treatment to patients of all ages. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exhibits the ability to organize work assignments and follow through with accuracy; exercise good judgment; demonstrate initiative, emotional stability, tact and poise.
