At Veo, we're pushing the envelope on the design of safety-rated sensors for use with industrial robotic systems.

We are looking for an innovative and self-driven Principal Electrical Engineer specializing in FPGA design related to sensor data processing and sensor calibration to help create and refine our novel safety-critical 3D time-of-flight sensing system.

In close collaboration with the rest of our hardware team, you'll develop state-of-the art FPGA depth image processing and python-based calibration routines with a rigorous approach to noise analysis and reliability.

Design, set up, and run experiments to quantify 3D sensor performance and drive hardware design
Design and implement real time FPGA based logic
An electrical engineer with 7+ years of professional experience with ASIC / FPGA design
Methodical in your approach to experimentation and analysis
Experience with 3D sensors, computer vision, machine vision, or industrial automation
Experience in regulated environments such as medical devices/ISO 13485 or functional safety/IEC 61508/ISO 13849, DO-178C/DO-254 or IEC 26262
Experience with Quartus tools for FPGA development
