- Compensation is between $85 and $100 per hour, dependent on previous work experience and training.

- Must be able to see and treat all ages
- Take detailed history and perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses
- Order x-rays and labs to assist in evaluating and diagnosing illnesses and injuries
- Interpret x-rays, lab results, and EKGs
- Perform urgent care procedures including but not limited to laceration repairs, suture/staple removal, incision & drainage, foreign body removal, large joint aspirations, nail removal, joint reductions and splinting
- Consult supervising physician based on the scope of practice and patient needs
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Communicate with collaborating physician as needed
- Triage and manage patient flow efficiently to minimize wait times
- Review and manage daily tasks, including patient callbacks regarding lab results
- Provide oversight and lead day-to-day operations for your team of medical assistants and support staff
- Valid California license to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner and be certified by the appropriate broad, in good standing
- MINIMUM 6 MONTHS EXPERIENCE in ER, urgent care or similar setting
- Ability to workONE-TWOfull weekend per month as a part-time provider
- Valid and unrestricted DEA License
- Current ACLS/BLS Certifications
- Ability to consult and treat patients of all ages in a confidential and impartial manner
- Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations (all ages)
- Exceptional listening, interpersonal, and empathy skills

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who is highly motivated and exceptionally detail-orientated for our new urgent care center. You must be a team player with a great bedside manner.

We are seeking a well-trained nurse practitioner or physician assistant with urgent care experience to be part of our team. This is a ground-floor opportunity that can be converted to a full-time position if desired as the center grows.
What you can expect from AFC
Clinic hours will be Mon-Fri 8 am - 8 pm, and Sat-Sun 8 am - 5 pm. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
