Description
Embark on a rewarding career in healthcare through our Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician Boot Camp.This on-the-job training program is designed for applicants seeking to work in a clinical setting and is open to candidates with no prior healthcare experience.
The Boot Camp is offered at all five hospital sites: Morristown Medical Center, Overlook Medical Center, Chilton Medical Center, Newton Medical Center, and Hackettstown Medical Center.
Upon completion, you will be offered a full-time or part-time position, seamlessly transitioning from Boot Camp training to your work placement.
During the program, you will learn how to safely provide care for patients, including:Obtaining Vital Signs and
Blood Glucose Monitoring:
Master the art of monitoring vital signs and blood glucose levels – crucial skills for any healthcare professional.
Caring for Specialized Patients:
Gain specialized knowledge in caring for valued patients, ranging from geriatric to obstetrics, and our general population.
Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Make a positive impact by helping patients with their daily needs, including feeding, bathing, etc., promoting independence and dignity.
Mobilizing Patients:
Learn techniques to assist patients in movement and mobility, contributing to their recovery journey.

March 11th through 18th @ Chilton Medical Center
April 22nd through 29th @ Hackettstown Medical Center and Newton Medical Center
June 10th through June 21st @ Overlook Medical Center
July 29th through August 5th week @ Morristown Medical Center
August 12th through August 24th @ Chilton Medical Center
October 21st through November 1st @ Hackettstown Medical Center and Newton Medical Center
November 11th through 23rd @ Morristown Medical Center
December 9th through 20th @ Overlook Medical Center
We are currently accepting application for future sessions from July on. You may be contacted sooner for the June session if spots become available.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Able to attend 8-hour class for 10 days.
Committed to unit training for 4-6 weeks.
No prior healthcare experience required.
