    Caterpillar Lafayette Large Engine Center is seeking students currently enrolled in a four-year university to work side by side with manufacturing and supply chain professionals at Caterpillar. Interns are empowered with assignments that provide them with relevant work experience and significant opportunities for learning.

    This internship will start in May of 2024 working 40 hours per week during the summer and then transition to a 10 to 20 hour per week assignment during the school year. This position can continue until graduation with mutual agreement of the student and manager. Candidates must be able to work on-site in Lafayette, Indiana throughout the summer and school year.

    Internships will align with the following technical areas:

    + Manufacturing & Facilities Engineering

    + Environmental Health & Safety

    + Operations - Quality

    **Basic Qualifications:**

    + Must be enrolled full time at a 4-year accredited university/college in one of the following degree programs:?

    Agricultural Engineering - Agricultural Systems Management - Business Administration/Management with a focus/minor in Supply Chain, Statistics, Math or Logistics - Chemical Engineering - Computer Engineering - Computer Science - Electrical Engineering - Engineering Management - General Engineering - Industrial Distribution - Industrial Engineering/Technology Logistics - Management Information Systems - Manufacturing Engineering/Technology - Manufacturing Systems - Materials Science Engineering - Mechanical Engineering/Technology - Operations Management - Supply Chain Management - Technical Systems Management

    + Minimum 2.8/4.0 Cumulative GPA (no rounding)

    + Expected graduation date?of December 2024?or beyond

    + Completed 30 semester hours prior to start of internship. If a transfer student, must have 12 semester hours completed at a 4-year university

    + Must be willing and able to complete daily work commute to the Lafayette Large Engine Center using reliable transportation

    **Top Candidates May Have:**

    + Leadership involvement in campus organizations, community service and/or extracurricular activities

    + Previous technical internship, co-op, or research/relevant experience

    + Strong communication, teamwork, analytical, and interpersonal skills

    **Additional Information:**

    + The primary location for this position is Lafayette, IN

    + The internship will start in May 2024 and continue throughout the school year

    + This is a part-time, temporary position
