Job Summary

Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients and suggesting improvements based on culinary trends and customer preferences
- Maintain proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations
- Use knife skills and food preparation techniques efficiently to optimize kitchen workflow
- Support food service operations by plating dishes attractively and delivering timely service during busy hours
- Help with catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality standards
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and stocked, adhering to food safety protocols at all times
Experience
- Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with specialized meal preparation and dietary restrictions
- Proven restaurant or food industry experience, especially in fine dining settings, showcasing advanced culinary skills
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety practices
- Experience in menu planning, meal preparation, and catering services is a plus
- Excellent knife skills combined with a solid understanding of food safety standards
- Knowledge of food service operations including serving procedures and kitchen management
- Prior kitchen experience that highlights efficiency, teamwork, and attention to detail in fast-paced environments
