Layout Drafter

Role Overview:

Create contract layouts for model and custom traction skyrise elevators. Take full ownership of the drafting task and be proactive in communicating with all stakeholders. Support projects with calculations, studies, sketches, etc. Successful execution will lead to timely delivery of materials and smooth installation of elevator equipment.

On a typical day you will:

Analyze, create, review, revise and finalize layouts within published lead-times.

Follow standard work to complete day to day tasks.

Work independently on most revisions projects in terms of system and layout analysis. Discuss changes with experienced team members before providing solutions.

Participate in working meetings with the local office and field personal along with experienced team members to resolve issues and provide expert technical support.

Work closely with Contract Engineering, Project Manager, Otis field offices, QA, Engineering, and Manufacturing regarding new and revised approval drawings.

What You Will Need to be Successful:

Minimum Education: 2 year post high school technical related to drafting (civil/architectural/mechanical)

Preferred Education: AA/AS degree

Minimum Experience : Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Critical Skills/Knowledge/Competencies

AutoCAD, Excel

Communication, Teamwork, Adaptability.

Plan/Prioritize/Complete tasks timely.
