Work experience:

Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards that are applicable to this position.
Develop and implement a monthly recreational activity calendar both at and away from the facility.
Ensure that needed recreational supplies and equipment are available for recreational activities.
Identify, recruit, and maintain commitment from community partners.
Document each child's progress in recreational activities in monthly and quarterly reports.
Assist staff with supervision of the service population during recreational activities.
Supervise direct care staff during off-campus recreational outings.
Use appropriate and positive child management techniques including verbal redirection, de-escalation, and
Survey service population quarterly to determine level of satisfaction and ways to improve this service,
Participate in scheduled meetings, team decisions and operations.
Work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed or requested by position supervisor.
Implement Compass Connections safety protocols including evacuating with children and other staff, in case
Maintain confidentiality in all areas of the service population and program operations.
Connections employee handbook including demonstrating respect for agency staff, the service population,
and community members and complying with required dress code at all times.
Work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers and professionals.
Provide crisis intervention according to training provided by Compass Connections when needed to
Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.
Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a
Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Compass Connections policies and procedures.
