    Job Summary

    The University of Texas at Tyler invites applications for a non-tenure track appointment for an Assistant Professor of Practice of Teacher Education starting Fall 2024. This is a full-time non-tenure track position with a nine-month academic year appointment in the School of Education within the College of Education and Psychology at the University of Texas at Tyler. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. We are particularly interested in candidates who have demonstrated expertise in (a) teacher education, (b) instructional coaching, and (c) teaching a mix of hybrid, online, and face-to-face courses. The position is contingent upon funding by the university.

    Major Responsibilities/Duties/Critical Tasks

    Duties include, but are not limited to:

    Teach undergraduate courses in teacher education.
    Supervise pre-service teachers during field experiences.

    Required Education/Experience

    Doctorate degree in education or professional experience in lieu of a doctorate degree.
    University teaching experience with face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online instruction.
