    Salary Range: $70, ,000.00

    MAJOR FUNCTIONS:

    Under the direction of the Program Director, the Clinical Director is responsible for the delivery of all clinical treatment services in an OASAS 819/820 certified residential services program. She/he ensures the quality of treatment services, the fidelity of evidence-based service delivery and timely documentation of all group, individual counseling and recovery support services delivered by the facility's clinical staff. She/he is responsible for maintaining OASAS regulatory compliance and assuring that programs operate in accordance with Odyssey House organizational standards.

    The Clinical Director is responsible for oversight of job performance, guidance and direct supervision of the Licensed Clinicians and Counselors assigned to this component. S/he promotes an atmosphere that encourages individualized services and consumer involvement in therapeutic activities.

    The Clinical Director is hands on with the clinical staff in providing daily guidance to the clinical team. This position incorporates clinical skills and administrative tasks with the expectation that this individual takes independent initiative while exercising sound judgment in the day-to-day clinical operations of the treatment program.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Implement, monitor and provide oversight of all aspects related to the delivery of residential substance use disorder services.
    • Conducts regular and direct observations of all clinical treatment activities.
    • Implement and ensure compliance with all clinical policies and procedures and protocols.
    • Ensure compliance with all referent communications, HRA STARS reporting, and HRA finger imaging verification.
    • Provide crisis intervention services.
    • Conduct utilization review, incident management and review and quality assurance reviews.
    • Assure that staff maintains accurate and confidential clinical records that comply with external monitoring agency standards and internal policy and procedures.
    • Prepare all proposals and reports as needed.
    • Assume responsibility for program operations in the absence of the Program Director.
    • Assure all clinical staff members are adequately trained.
    • Provide and implements formal orientation plan to newly hired direct subordinate staff.
    • Conduct regular clinical and administrative meetings with staff.
    • Provide direct supervision for designated staff as per Odyssey House policies. Prepare written annual evaluations on staff under his/her supervision. Review evaluations of all clinical staff members.
    • Provide ongoing training for clinical staff and participate in Odyssey House in-service trainings.
    • Lead clinical quality improvement activities in collaboration with Program Director.
    • Represent Odyssey House at community and public forums.
    • Other relevant duties as assigned by Program Director.
    REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    1. Master's Level Clinical Degree and three (3) years administrative or clinical experience working within a substance use disorder treatment setting required.
    2. One (1) years' experience in an administration and/or clinical supervisory role required.
    3. Qualified Mental Health Professional (e.g. LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, CRC, Ph.D., MSN, CASAC etc.) required.
    4. Proficiency with computer operation (Microsoft Word, Excel, Electronic Health Record and Outlook programs)
    5. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
    6. This position will require availability as needed including on call responsibilities.
