    Job summary:

    Pierce Aluminum is a leading distributor of aluminum and a manufacturer of finished aluminum products. Pierce Aluminum offers a diverse inventory and distributes a complete line of sheets, coils, plates, bars, structural shapes, tubes, pipes and extrusions in the most varied alloys and sizes possible. The inside sales person is responsible for providing full customer service to current customers. This starts with understanding and mastering Pierce Aluminum's pricing strategy. Potential customers will call in with specific requirements for metal. This includes the size, thickness and other factors. The Inside Sales Representative role at Pierce is unique because they review and analyze past orders, current market factors, the scope of the work and other circumstances that impact the delivery of the final product to ensure that each customer instead of following a price book. Math skills play a prominent role in the quotation process. The perfect candidate will be able to deal with conflict from time to time, but also ensure that our customers are receiving the utmost customer service experience.

    Duties include:

    • Taking in-bound calls from businesses and creating price quotations
    • Entering orders into system / DOS Based
    • Developing strong relationships with existing customers
    • Constantly re-qualify the account by asking questions questions per call
    • Conduct email correspondence with prospects and clients.
    • Support sales with prospecting activities ... about 10%-20% of the day

    Minimum Qualifications:

    · A strong sense of urgency / good initiative

    · Candidate should be out going and energetic

    · Candidate should be an excellent qualifier and feel comfortable asking questions

    · Strong customer service skills as well as sales skills

    · Is trainable

    · Team player... will ask for help and give help when asked

    · Assertive, friendly and outgoing

    · Minimum of 2 years of experience in the industrial sales industry is preferred

    The Successful Candidate will need to be skillful at understanding the dynamics of the sales process, work effectively in a team environment with customers and colleagues, be detail oriented, responsive, have effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills, and be organized and able to manage multiple tasks and multiple priorities.
