    About the Role

    Furniture Market Interns plays a key role in supporting the Regina Andrew Detroit showroom during Spring High Point Furniture Market by creating a welcoming, engaging experience for all visitors. This highly customer-facing role offers hands-on exposure to the luxury home furnishings industry, with responsibilities spanning guest engagement, sales support, event coordination, and design-driven marketing, while working closely with the sales team to ensure a seamless and elevated showroom experience throughout market week.

    Responsibilities

    Interns will rotate through core showroom functions while supporting a seamless, welcoming, and elevated guest experience, including:

    • Guest Welcome & Engagement – Proactively greet customers at entry points, create a warm first impression, engage guests in conversation, and help direct them to products or appropriate team members.
    • Sales & Showroom Support – Assist guests with basic product information, scanning, saving, and purchasing both in the showroom and online, while supporting sales associates by managing customer flow and anticipating guest needs.
    • Showroom Scanning Operations – Manage product scanners for guests and ensure accurate data syncing following showroom visits.
    • Content Capture & Market Coverage – Partner with the social media team to document showroom activity, guest interactions, and key market moments for daily recaps.
    • Jewelry Pop-Up & Event Support – Assist customers in the jewelry pop-up area and support Market events through gifting preparation and distribution.
    • Showroom Care & Presentation – Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing showroom through ongoing organization and light daily upkeep.
    • Learning & Observation – Observe and learn best practices in customer service, sales, and showroom operations within a luxury market environment.

    Qualifications

    ·      Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of guests

    ·      Comfortable initiating conversations and delivering a warm, confident customer experience

    ·      Friendly, professional, and service-oriented approach

    ·      Able to stay attentive, adaptable, and energetic in a fast-paced market environment

    ·      Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn

    ·      Interest in furniture, design, retail, or customer experience preferred
