    Title: Service Technician

    Summary:

    (MUST HAVE RESIDENTIAL HVAC EXPERIENCE)

    As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing all equipment used for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning in residential settings. This role involves traveling to customers' homes, diagnosing issues, and providing solutions to meet their needs.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of HVAC systems.
    • Travel to job sites in the service area and collaborate with dispatch to ensure schedules are maintained and delays are communicated effectively to customers.
    • Be available to work nights and weekends on a rotating basis to address emergency needs of our customers.
    • Ensure the company vehicle is in good working order, including refueling as necessary, reporting any mechanical issues, and submitting a vehicle inspection form.
    • Provide exceptional customer service skills, interacting with homeowners, collecting payments, and relaying information clearly.
    • Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment on the vehicle.
    • Educate homeowners on potential opportunities for additional business, such as newer systems, service contracts, and additional services.
    • Diagnose and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for residential customers, as well as electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems.
    • Meet physical ability requirements outlined in this description.
    • Perform other job duties as directed by team leaders.
    • Participate in company-provided training opportunities on the latest industry technologies.
    • Hold an active (valid) driver's license with at least 3 years of clean driving history.
    • Candidates must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
    • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.

    Requirements:

    • Positive-forward thinking and excellent conflict resolution skills.
    • A minimum of 3 years of HVAC residential service experience (required).
    • A current EPA certification and State Registered TDLR (required).
    • Excellent organization, communication, and prioritization skills.
    • Strong multi-tasking skills, including flexibility across multiple support channels.
    • Good analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret plans and manuals.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IOS devices.
    • Demonstrate Milestone and Leader Core Values.

    Physical and Mental Requirements:

    • Lift and move items of 75 pounds or more regularly and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces.
    • Climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently for extended periods.
    • Work in cramped or high places such as attics, ladders, and tunnels.
    • Carry heavy items up and down stairs.
    • Work in extreme weather conditions, including heat, rain, snow, or sleet.
    • Utilize mental skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and a technical vocabulary to understand direction and adhere to established procedures.
    • Adapt well in the face of workplace stressors such as customer service complaints.
