- Loads and unloads company vehicles, supplier vehicles, and common carriers.
- Visually inspects for damage, verifies deliveries, signs and dates Bills of Lading.
- Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials received, moved, or shipped and reports inconsistencies with the business computer system.
- Enters receipts into business computer system, completes paperwork and reports to document receiving activities.
- Delivers supplies, equipment, merchandise, and other items to appropriate departments or personnel.
- Works closely with other materials staff including planners and buyers.
- Assists with inventory management of packaging materials.
- Assists with maintaining an organized work area.
- Assists with managing waste streams, including cardboard recycling.
- Ensures workplace safety and workplace organization (5 S).
- Willing to participate in continuous learning opportunities as part of job and personal development.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Prior material handling experience desirable.
- Prior experience in cycle counting desirable.
- Language skills:
- Must be able to become forklift certified within 30 days of hire.
- Able to use computer and learn business computer system.
- Must have a valid State driver's license.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
