    Bi-weekly Hours: 72.00

    Shift: 6:45p-7:15a; Rotating weekends and holidays

    _Primary Patient Population:
    _


    • Incarcerated patients (Chronic Disease, Substance Use Disorder, Mental Health, Nursing)

    _Primary skills utilized/learned:
    _


    • Acute clinical assessment
    • Medication Administration
    • Ability to obtain National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) certification
    • Time management, critical thinking, delegating
    • Wound Care
    • IV Therapy/Phlebotomy
    _Personnel LPN will work with_ _:_


    • RNs
    • Medical Assistants (MAs)
    • Paramedics
    • Medical Providers
    • Corrections Officers

    _Number of beds on unit:

    • Facility houses an average of 1700 patients daily
    _Awards or Recognitions the unit has received:_


    • Achieved accreditation by National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC)

    Required Qualifications:

    • Graduate of an approved school of Practical Nursing
    • Current License Practical Nurse in the State of Ohio
    • Certification to pass medications and completion of OBN IV therapy course
    • Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association
