Certified Phlebotomist

Location: Issaquah, WA

Salary: $25 per hour

Job Description:

• Experience in blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, and decontamination.
• Properly explains the process of venipuncture and specimen collection in a clear and courteous manner.
• Demonstrates techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
• Labels, centrifuges, splits, and freezes specimens as required by test order.
• Checks all test requisitions against script to ensure accuracy.
• Packages specimens for transport and stores them according to required procedures.
• Understands and complies with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Attends annual department trainings and answers telephone inquiries.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum Qualifications: Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of Washington.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience in venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED with 2-4 years of experience.
