Job Overview:

As a Furniture Sales Colleague, or as we like to call it, a Big Ticket Colleague, you will deliver exceptional customer service in our Furniture departments, creating a welcoming and comfortable shopping experience for every customer. Your responsibilities include achieving sales targets, offering protection plans, managing return rates, and promoting our loyalty program. Your in-depth product knowledge will be key in educating customers and meeting their needs.

Your responsibilities:

• Engage with customers to identify their furniture needs, showcase product knowledge, and drive sales while minimizing returns
• Provide personalized recommendations and propose complementary products to enhance the shopping experience
• Leverage technology to process customer orders, assist in product selection, and support shoppers using devices to browse and compare
• Participate in ongoing product training through technological tools and partnerships with vendors
• Deliver top-notch customer service by offering solutions tailored to their needs, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive shopping and delivery journey
• Maintain communication with customers throughout the pre- and post-delivery stages to guarantee satisfaction
• Adhere to Asset Protection guidelines and inventory control procedures

Who we are looking for:

• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with diverse customer segments and colleagues

Key Physical Requirements:

• Extended periods of standing and walking in-store or within departments
• Frequent use of computers and handheld devices
• Physical tasks like reaching, crouching, kneeling, and lifting objects up to 50 lbs.
