    We are seeking a diligent and reliable Steward to join our culinary team. As a Steward, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in the kitchen by ensuring the prompt and thorough cleaning of all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Operate and maintain the dishwashing machine to ensure its proper functioning and cleanliness at all times.
    • Efficiently sort, rinse, and load dishes, utensils, glassware, and other kitchen equipment into the dishwasher, following established procedures and guidelines meticulously.
    • Monitor and manage dishwashing supplies, including detergents and rinse agents, promptly notifying supervisors or managers when supplies require replenishment.
    • Ensure all dishes, utensils, and equipment are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and stored in their designated areas to maintain hygiene and sanitation standards.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dishwashing and storage areas, including regular cleaning of the dishwashing machine, sinks, and work surfaces to uphold a pristine environment.
    • Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, including the proper handling of cleaning chemicals and ensuring a hazard-free work environment.
    • Provide support to the kitchen team by assisting with various tasks, including receiving and storing deliveries, restocking supplies, and contributing to general kitchen cleanliness.
    • Exhibit a strong, upbeat, and positive personality, reflecting a commitment to high standards with impeccable attention to detail in all responsibilities.

    Required Experience:

    • Previous experience in a similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and procedures.
    • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
    • Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
    • Dependability and reliability in fulfilling job responsibilities.

    Working Conditions/Environment

    • The person having this position may have to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight (8) hours per day.
    • Agility in executing fast-paced movements to navigate different areas of the property efficiently.
    • The person having this responsibility may have to move, pull, carry, or lift objects weighing at least 50 pounds.
