Your Impact

We are seeking a Production Scheduler who will perform production scheduling for one or more facilities. This role will work closely with various departments to plan, set, and support a Sales and Operations Production plan.

The Role

• Collaborate with all levels of the company to plan, set, and support a Sales and Operations Production plan
• Perform production scheduling to maximize on-time delivery, productivity, inventory turns, gross profit, etc.
• Establish commitment (promise ship) dates for scheduled sales orders
• Work directly with manufacturing to support customer on-time delivery
• Communicate with respective departments on any schedule changes that will adversely affect overall schedule execution or customer expectation
• Work with Materials management team and fellow associates to ensure raw materials and customer supplied items are available to support the production schedule

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in Supply Chain Management or related field (preferred)
• Strong understanding of production scheduling in a make-to-order environment with 5+ years scheduling experience
• Knowledge of MPS/MRP systems. Experience with AS/400 a plus
• The ability to adapt in a very fluid and cyclical environment
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical skills
• Moderate user of Microsoft Office tools, with an emphasis on Excel
• Moderate travel up to 25% may be required
• APICS CPIM certification a plus

Working Conditions

This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
