- Collaborating with management, departments, and customers to identify end-user requirements and specifications.
- Producing efficient and elegant code based on customer driven and internal requirements.
- Testing and deploying programs and applications for electromechanical systems as well as airborne technologies.
- Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and improving existing software.
- Compiling and assessing user feedback to improve software performance.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in web-based application development and back-end system design.
- Proficiency in Linux based software development (Ubuntu is a plus).
- Proficiency in popular coding languages including Python and JavaScript with frameworks or systems such as Bootstrap, jQuery, and Git.
- Ability to work in a small team and independently as required.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Mobile Ad-hoc Networking (MANET) experience.
- Experience with RF systems and computer networking.
- Experience in process improvement, and equipment / process validation.
- Ability to travel to CONUS customer sites (<10%)

Responsibilities:
This position will support various software engineering efforts and is responsible for using their knowledge of programming languages to improve our web-based application and extend back-end capabilities. Duties include meeting with engineering to determine the customers software needs, coding, testing software to ensure functionality, and updating software programs.
