    Job Opportunity: Interim Dietary Manager, salaried, benefit elgible position

    Reports To: Facility Administrator

    Responsibilities: Are you a skilled Dietary Manager with a passion for excellence in healthcare? As a Dietary Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the Dietary Department's programs and activities to ensure the highest standards of quality within approved budgets.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates and directs the Dietary Department, its programs and activities within approved budget and quality standards.
  • Ensures that all written dietary policies, procedures, and manuals are adhered to, maintained and updated.
  • Maintains compliance with state and federal regulations in preparation for state survey.
  • Prepares recommendations to the Administrator concerning department operations.
  • Fosters and maintains inter-departmental communication and cooperation to ensure that any reported concerns are addressed and corrected.
  • Develops the organizational structure, staffing and direction within policy and budgetary guidelines.
  • Responsibly exercises authority to take necessary personnel actions for department personnel including actions impacting employment such as hire, evaluations, work assignments and schedules.
  • Assists in departmental conflict resolution and makes recommendations for discipline.
  • Participates in continuing education and empowerment of employees as well as makes recommendations for promotion and transfers within branches of Apple Rehab.
  • Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience in long term care foodservice, or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing dietary services in healthcare.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make informed decisions and exercise authority responsibly.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and employee development.

    Qualifications:

  • Must hold Serv Safe Manager certification
  • Ability to read, write and understand English, perform simple math calculations, measure and record data.
  • Attention to detail, good follow through skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to supervise and instruct others.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or long term care facility preferred.
  • Demonstrates cooperation in assisting others and ability to work as a team.
  • Patience, tact, enthusiasm and a positive attitude toward the residents and their support networks
