- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and students' needs, in collaboration with educators, parents, and other professionals.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders, utilizing evidence-based interventions and techniques.
- Monitor and track students' progress towards their speech and language goals, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to integrate speech and language goals into students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide support and guidance to teachers and staff on strategies for facilitating communication and language development in the classroom.
- Conduct in-service training sessions for school staff and parents on speech and language topics.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessment results, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to discuss students' progress and provide recommendations for home-based support.
- Stay informed about current research, best practices, and trends in the field of speech-language pathology, and participate in professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Washington.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in a school or educational setting, is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, educators, and other professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based services to support students' communication and language development.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards working in a dynamic school environment.
