    JOB SUMMARYResponsiblefor establishing and improving company standards for Managed PressureDrilling (MPD) equipment specification, installation, maintenance, andoperation with the purpose of ensuring reliability and lowering cost ofownership.


    Key areas ofresponsibility will include:


    MPDequipment technical support; MPD equipment maintenance standards;Experience transfer between units; MPD operational standards; fleetconformance with industry standards and company directives; Management ofChange; AAB Management; Industry Workgroup Participation; SSCE, Marketing,and Vendor Surveillance consults; Equipment Specification and OverhaulStandards; and, technical investigations and support as required for WellControl Equipment.

    JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESEstablish standardpreventative maintenance; and, review and approve changes to standardmaintenance as required to incorporate lessons learned.
    Set procurementand overhaul standards for MPD equipment, and document same in Seadrill'ssystems.
    Collaborate withHSE to ensure Standard Operating Manuals include best practice.

    Review and processMPD equipment and operations related alerts and bulletins for SeadrillfleetAct as, or advise,vendor surveillance, SSCE, and operations on shop repair and return orupgrade work scopes.

    Interact withClass organizations concerning MPD notation requirements.

    Participate inindustry forums such as API, that create standards for MPD equipmentmanufacture and operations, with the purpose of representing thecontractor's interest, and lead improvements in the standards.

    Lead technicalinvestigations of MPD performance issues and either write or assistcompletion of technical investigation reports that identify root cause andcorrective actions.

    Maintain expertand current knowledge of Seadrill directives, API standards, Classrequirements, OEM AABs, and the ability to navigate TMS/Maximo/ Synergi toachieve goals.

    Establish Seadrillstandards for specification and purchase of MPD related equipment andadvise Supply Chain and Marketing when requested.
    Review, approve,or deny management of change requests relevant to MPD systems.
    Provide daily reports when visiting rigs;and relevant investigation reports which use technical services standardformat.
    Complete applicable MPD-relatedTechnicalServices action tracking and close outSupport TechnicalServices Well Control Group as required for Well Control Equipment.

    Demonstratedexperience in equipment performance investigation, risk analysis, and rootcause analysis.
    Demonstratesknowledge of typical failure modes and causes for elastomers and metallicsas applied to well control and MPD equipment.
    Managerial/administrativeskills to effectively execute role.
    Experiencedmentoring and working with operations on board rigs to assist them inimproving quality and share best practice.
    Advanced knowledgeof relevant MPD and API standardsDesiredExperience with installationand commissioning preferred.
    EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONSMinimum RequirementsBachelor's degreein relevant engineering/technical field (e.g., Marine/Ocean engineering)Evidence oftraining relevant to MPD system principles of operation.
    Flexible to traveloffshore as required in any country Seadrill operates.
    PreferredDemonstrated history of working effectivelyvarious offshore marine/subsea settings in the oilfield & energyindustry.
