    Job Description

    Even though this position can be carried out remotely, it is necessary for the employee to be based reasonably close to the primary city.

    • Achieve sales targets, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing aims to meet or exceed those set objectives.
    • Create pre-call plans and conduct post-call assessments to continuously enhance sales performance. Address objections, concerns, and ensure logical and convincing calls to action to close every sales call successfully.
    • Strive to understand and cater to customer needs and expectations, fostering trusted relationships with customers to reach mutually beneficial agreements between AbbVie and customers.
    • Develop and implement a call plan that meets specified call metrics, ensuring optimal coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize sales opportunities.
    • Regularly enhance knowledge about customer needs, the market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical data, and sales expertise. Share this market intelligence with the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to ensure alignment and anticipate market changes.
    • Highlight AbbVie's value proposition to healthcare providers, identify disease state experts, and cultivate relationships to enhance brand performance.
    Qualifications
    • Hold a Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, a business-related field, or equivalent.
    • Demonstrate a proven track record in sales and possess strong presentation skills.
    • Show deep knowledge in scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects and be recognized as an expert by all relevant stakeholders. Exhibit strong business acumen, utilizing business tools effectively and displaying strategic and critical thinking abilities.
    • Identify customer behavior/styles and adapt selling approaches accordingly. Utilize findings to shape sales strategies effectively.
    • Operate efficiently in a matrix environment.
    • Present innovative ideas to maximize business opportunities and address challenges.
    • Provide impactful ideas for the organization and anticipate/respond to changes effectively.
    • Build credibility and respect among peers, influencing others positively. Foster collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and the matrix team.
    • Lead by example, displaying positive behaviors and offering peer coaching in diverse and challenging environments.
    • Demonstrate success in leadership positions with increasing responsibility at district, regional, or organizational levels.
    • Preferred: Proven success in sales performance within relevant therapeutic areas. Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry, such as physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing, is a plus. Proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing.
