Job DescriptionSalary:

Mason Preparatory School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team. As a School Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the mental health and well-being of students. You will work closely with students, parents, and educators to provide counseling, and interventions to promote academic success and emotional development.

Duties:

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the academic and emotional growth of students.
Provide counseling and psychotherapy services to students individually or in group settings - Implement evidence-based interventions to address social-emotional issues and behavioral challenges.
Assist in the development and implementation of behavior management strategies
Conduct crisis intervention and provide support during emergencies or traumatic events.
Collaborate with school staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment by overseeing and helping to implement the school wide Social Emotional Learning programs.
Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
Collaborate with the Learning Specialist to review psychoeducational reports and learning plans.
Organize and assist with scheduling and implementation of Standardized testing.

Requirements:

Master's degree or higher in School Psychology
State licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
Knowledge of psychological assessment tools and techniques
Familiarity with special education laws and regulations
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Experience working with Pre-K through elementary school aged individuals preferred
Proficiency in assessing and creating Functional Behavior Assessments
At least 5 years experience in public schools is preferred
