    Description

    Estimator Role

    We are seeking a highly motivated Estimator to join our team and play a critical role in developing competitive bids and winning proposals. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with senior leadership, including the President and Director of Estimating, to help shape project strategies and ensure timely, accurate cost estimates.

    As an Estimator, you will support the preparation of bids by gathering pricing data, reviewing architectural documents, and coordinating with suppliers and vendors. You'll contribute to our company's growth and profitability by helping us win work through detailed, strategic, and well-supported proposals.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support Senior Leadership: Provide daily support to the President and Director of Estimating.
    • Bid Document Review: Review bid documents, addenda, and assist with post-bid submissions.
    • Submittal Package Coordination: Coordinate and compile submittal packages for awarded projects.
    • Pricing Data Gathering: Gather and analyze pricing from suppliers and manufacturers.
    • Architectural Take-Offs: Conduct architectural take-offs and assist in value engineering efforts.
    • Compliance and Communication: Ensure compliance with project specs and building code requirements. Communicate with general contractors and architects regarding RFIs.
    • Project Support: Support projects from budget through substantial completion.
    • Meeting Deadlines: Maintain focus on meeting tight project deadlines.

    Requirements

    • Strong Organization Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Proactive Thinking: Proactive thinker with excellent multitasking abilities.
    • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Microsoft Office Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word preferred).
    • Background in Construction: Background in construction estimating or architectural drawings is a plus.
    • Window Experience: Experience with windows is a bonus, but not required.
