    Description
    Overview


    The Technical Design team ensures all product is consistent with brand standards and seasonal design concepts for a specific classification.

    Technical Designers leverage skills in garment grading/specifications, fit and construction, fabrics, sewing operations, and pattern making.

    Responsibilities

    Track samples in and out of the department to facilitate the development process and update sample status charts.
    Assist in garment measurement and record against issued specs.
    Attend fittings, assist with documenting through noted and pictures.
    Learn how the garment commenting process works and eventually start to do some of them.
    Assist supervisor with various projects as needed.
    Assist technical designer during initial tech pack development for each new season.
    Attend cross-functional meetings to gain an understanding of the product lifecycle.
    Provide administrative assistance, such as filing, record keeping, etc.
    Perform such other duties as directed by the supervisor.

    Qualifications

    Must be available June 3rd, 2024- August 23rd, 2024 for 40 hours/week
    Relevant coursework in production/tech design /retail.
    Detail orientated individual with strong organizational, communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
    Strong computer skills.
    Adhere to regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration. Job duties may be performed effectively using the hybrid work program designated by the company.
    Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor as the company retains the right to change duties to this position.
    Must have authorization to work in the United States.

    Physical Requirements:


    Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

    Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards and Company's policy.

    Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours per day
    Ability to constantly operate a computer, other office equipment and look at a monitor for up to 8 hours per day
    Ability to clearly and accurately communicate and exchange information verbally, in writing, or through other means in person, telephonically, or through virtual communication methods
    Ability to position self to reach at or below shoulder level
    TBD based on role (carrying equipment, moving boxes/samples, etc.)
