    Description
    The VTC/AV Technical Support Specialist shall possess a working knowledge of the VTC/AV systems and software being utilized at Marine Forces Cyber Command, as evidenced by experience or training qualifications
    The Specialist will work as a member of an integrated team and have outward contact with customers requiring VTC/AV support
    Specialist shall have customer service skills able to work with government officials, military members, and other contractors; will interact with high-level executives and high-ranking military officials
    Experience with the planning, design, and implementation of audio and video conferencing systems is a very strong plus

    Operations for the VTC Specialist include providing technical support to conference call monitoring, IP video account creation, troubleshooting account and connectivity issues and audio and video conferencing related issues.


    Responsibilities:
    1
    Setup and monitoring of point-to-point, multipoint, and ad-hoc video conferences over IP.

    Analyze requirements for audio/video and multimedia technologies and services and recommend preferred solutions to IT management.

    Provide Tier II troubleshooting and problem solving of all VTC and audio technical issues.

    Coordinate and troubleshoot with network personnel as necessary for LAN/WAN, Firewall, and VPN issues affecting VTC connectivity and/or quality.

    Shall be proficient and experienced with set up and operations of audio and video equipment including AV racks, touch panels, microphones, video screens, projectors, video monitors, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards, and related electronic equipment for meetings, presentations, and conferences.

    Provides customer support and training with control, interfaces, and use of the audio/visual and VTC equipment.

    Install, configure, and implement applicable Information Assurance security policies, guidelines, and requirements such as, but not limited to the Defense Information Services Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) patches.

    Assist with VTC End point upgrades as required with GFE.

    Assist with end user training on Desktop IP video.

    Ensures the application of Information Security and Information Assurance (IA) policies, principles, and practices to all components on MARFORCYBER networks.

    Resolves, documents, and conducts follow-ups for customer related outages and incidents.

    Resolves system operational problems by troubleshooting and performing fault isolation

    Position Requirements:
    1
    Must possess TS/SCI with counter-intelligence polygraph.
    2
    3 years of experience in designing, planning, configuring, programing, trouble-shooting, and scheduling Video Teleconferences and Audio-Visual Systems.
    3

    3 years of experience in working with Video Teleconference and Audio-Visual System scheduling platforms, user endpoints (desktop VTC), Multiple bridging and gateway devices.

    3 years of experience with Integrating video, SVTC, and DVTC capacities into other systems (e.g., VoIP
    teleconferencing, enterprise infrastructure services); Video and VTC operations and maintenance services

    including:

    • Operating and maintaining the video, SVTC, and DVTC management systems
    • Repairs and configuration of directly related infrastructure
    • Capacity and availability monitoring
    • Performance tuning of network and systems
    • Troubleshooting, and testing associated equipment
    • Account management (adding, modifying, deleting video, SVTC, and DVTC accounts)
    • Deploying services and hardware upgrades
    5

    3 years of experience in responding to incidents and outages; taking corrective actions to resolve issues; and escalating issues that cannot be resolved.

    3 years of experience in the supervision of installation and post-installation service and maintenance of Video Teleconferencing and Audio-Visual Systems.
