    Description

    Job Summary:


    Works with the CPAS product team to develop the CPAS core application and platform while providing advisor and mentoring support to CPAS clients and implementation projects.

    Working with other development and project resources to develop creative solutions and optimal code that satisfies the solution. Responsible for providing and deploying quality and creative code and solutions

    Works on client implementations as required and provides mentoring to programmers


    Duties and Responsibilities:


    Design, build, test, implement and maintain template applications to meet requirements using existing languages, DBMS (database management system), development tools etc.

    Analyze template application program requirements and develops computer program code
    Convert business and system requirements into detailed system design and technical specifications.
    Analyze and troubleshoots existing program code and correct errors as required.

    Run unit tests to find and correct errors and confirm that those programs meet business requirements, system designs, and technical specifications.

    Develop code that follows security standards
    Development and maintenance of methodologies to carry out programming activities and deployment.
    Provide technical support to end users
    Develop code maintenance standards and train others on those standards
    Ownership of Git and or other code management and deployment software
    Responsible for training programmers or end users through hands-on training or classroom style training.
    Other tasks as required


    Education and Experience:
    Requires a University degree or equivalent in Computer Sciences
    Minimum of 5 years of experience


    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    Oracle, PL/SQL, JAVA, UI/UX frameworks (JQuery/JAVA Script) and other technical skills required for the project.
    Excellent communication skills
    Highly motivated and team player
    Problem solving and analytical skills
    Leadership
    GIT, Oracle OCI (Cloud), and UNIX BASH Scripting
    Pension course or prior experience in the pension or financial services industry would be an asset


    Work Environment:
    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in an office setting, at an individual work station, using telephone and computer


    Physical Demands:
    Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the day
    Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a printer/copy machine
    This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office
    The person in this position frequently communicates via telephone
