    The UC Davis Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine is seeking multiple dynamic academic physician-educators, and -investigators to grow clinical, teaching and creative programs in surgical pathology at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level in the Clinical (X) or the Health Sciences Clinical Series.

    Clinical duties will chiefly involve surgical pathology.

    Teaching duties may include clinical, didactic, and small group teaching of housestaff and medical students, interdisciplinary conferences to housestaff and faculty, and curriculum development in subspecialty areas.

    Participation in the research mission of the institution is expected, either as a collaborator or as the intellectual leader of clinically-oriented research projects pertinent to the candidate's areas of expertise and subspecialty training, depending on academic series chosen for appointment.

    The successful candidate must have an MD or MD/PhD, and be board-eligible or certified in anatomic pathology.

    The candidate must have two to five years' experience in a clinical or academic setting that includes clinical care, teaching and research that would meet requirements for appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level in one of the University of California's clinically-intensive academic series [Clinical (X) or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series].

    Must have completed a sub-specialty fellowship by July 1, 2024. A sub-specialty focus is required, and must be completed by June 30, 2024.

    Head and neck pathology, endocrine pathology, gynecologic pathology, breast/thoracic pathology, pediatric pathology, cytopathology are highly desirable; however, other subspecialty areas will also be considered.

    Other desirable qualifications include training and expertise in informatics, molecular-anatomic, and/or quality improvement.

    A California professional license or eligibility for licensure in California is required. The position will remain open until filled, but no later than June 30, 2024. Qualified applicants should apply at
