The Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of the company. This individual will oversee the accounting team and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger entries, and financial reporting.
Lead and supervise the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and other management reports.
Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes.
Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data.
Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals during annual audits and tax filings.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and best practices, and ensure timely implementation of any necessary updates.
Identify areas for process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting function.
Perform ad hoc financial analysis and projects as needed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation preferred.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Thorough knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Proven leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate and develop a team.
