    Title:

    Weld Shop HelperDepartment: WeldingReports to: Weld Shop ManagerLocation: Onsite, Hillsboro, ORAs a Shop Helper in a semiconductor TIG welding shop, you will play a crucial role in supporting the welding team and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the shop.

    Your responsibilities will include assisting with various tasks related to TIG welding processes in the production of semiconductor components.

    This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


    Duties & Responsibilities:
    Assist in preparing materials for TIG welding processes, including cutting, cleaning, and organising materials according to specifications. Ensure that all materials are free from contaminants and defects that may affect the welding process. Aid in setting up TIG welding equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety standards. Assist in the arrangement of workstations and welding fixtures to optimize workflow. Aid TIG welders by holding and positioning materials during welding processes. Collaborate with welders to ensure the accuracy and quality of welds, following precise specifications. Perform visual inspections on welded components to identify defects or imperfections. Report any issues or irregularities to the supervisor and work with the team to address quality concerns. Keep the shop area clean and organized, following 5S principles for workplace organization. Assist in routine maintenance of welding equipment and tools. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or concerns to the supervisor promptly. Maintain accurate records of materials used, work performed, and any issues encountered during the welding process. Assist in documenting adherence to quality standards and compliance with specifications. Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure seamless workflow.


    Qualifications & Requirements:
    High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a manufacturing or welding environment is preferred. Basic understanding of TIG welding processes and equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Physical fitness and the ability to li?? and move heavy materials. Good communication and teamwork skills. Adherence to safety protocols and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe working environment.
