    Description

    Our company, Apotheco Pharmacy, is searching for a Floating Pharmacist. This role requires regular travel between our satellite locations in Bergen,NJ , Woodland Park,NJ, Parsippany,NJ, Paramus,NJ , Jersey City, NJ and Princeton, NJ . The Pharmacist will provide coverage over the weekends from 10 am to 2 pm.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage staff of techs, patient care coordinators, and customer service representatives while on duty.
    • Adhere to all Apotheco policies and applicable laws pertaining to the practice of pharmacy.
    • Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations designated by the Board of Pharmacy.
    • Responsible for cash transactions and depositing of all transactions.
    • Ensure medication availability by delivering medications to patients and departments.
    • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
    • Knowledge of medication and dosage measurements.
    • Proficient at pharmacy software system and electronic ordering of all medications.
    • Perform final check on prescriptions annotating on the prescription and scanning in changes.
    • Call physicians when applicable for refills, medication changes, and prior authorizations.
    • Making sure all drugs have a minimum of 6 months prior to expiration.
    • Perform return to stock duties for prescriptions not picked up within 14 days.
    • Counsel patients on all new prescriptions.
    • Pharmacist responsible for ensuring overall compliance with state and federal statutes.

    Requirements

    • Licensed Pharmacist- NJ Required NY Preferred - Will be required to get licensed in NY within 3 months of employment.
    • Strong drug product and clinical pharmacy knowledge.
    • Familiar with clinical program components, formulary designs, prescription benefit trends, and PA programs.
    • Time management skills.
    • Written and Oral communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and self-motivated.
    • Strong computer skills, including MS Window, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
    • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced call center environment.
    • Strong team building and leadership skills.
    • Strong customer service orientation and commitment to professionalism.
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
