    Landscape Account Manager (Garden Manager/GM)

    Full Time

    The Landscape Account Manager (Garden Manager/GM) is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing the financial success, client satisfaction, and client retention of a specific group of assigned clients. The GM is responsible for excellent client and team communication, discovering, proposing, estimating, selling, coordinating, and leading work that will provide successful opportunities for enhancements and retention of assigned clients. The GM is always looking for opportunities to be helpful, solve problems, and enrich the experience of clients.*

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    Execution of Lifescape's 4 Pillars of Service:

    • Perform weekly garden walks for clients and maintain accurate logs and punch lists of service needs, client requests, and possible enhancement opportunities.
    • Consistently produce picture punch lists to identify and document areas in need of service for enhancements, irrigation, or maintenance crews.
    • Maintain professional relationships with all clients to ensure satisfaction, promote sales, and referrals through consistent weekly communication.
    • Actively pursue and communicate enhancement opportunities to increase revenue and client satisfaction.

    Client Management:

    • Estimate, present, and oversee the implementation of a wide range of landscape projects and garden maintenance services.
    • Accurately estimate material and labor needs for any given job.
    • Understand clients needs and develop short and long-term enhancement plans for clients properties.
    • Create an annual schedule for upcoming projects and seasonal color (planning and installation), and ensure this schedule is executed with high efficiency.
    • Timely and professional communication via email, phone calls, text, or any other format. Adhere to the 10-4 rule.
    • Responsible for account success for quality of service, client satisfaction, and profitability goals.
    • Document property conditions, maintain and update client information, and manage the book of business through company CRM daily.

    Sales and Profitability:

    • Be knowledgeable and informed of all company services and be able to prepare estimates, proposals, and negotiate sales across all services.
    • Communicate the vision for enhancements with internal departments and foreman to ensure clients expectations are met through job packs including photos, designs, scope, and description and any other which will make production quality higher and increase efficiency.
    • When applicable, provide proposals for enhancements opportunities within 48 hours.
    • Achieve a 75% sales enhancement rate as a percent of services.

    Horticulture and Garden Quality:

    • Oversee and direct all quality concerns and address any improvement for accounts and coordinate with Production Manager for execution.
    • Responsible for the overall health of the landscape by managing service items, horticulture, client requests, and irrigation management requests.
    • Meet Foremen on site on a regular basis. Provide feedback and mentor on proper techniques, problem solving, and ways to increase efficiency.
    • Provide feedback and written tasks (picture punch list) for Foreman to ensure clients requests are being met and proper horticultural maintenance and high quality are being provided.
    • Promote safety in every aspect of the job by upholding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies.
    • Be knowledgeable of services provided in agreements and ensure services are provided in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.
    • Effectively communicate with Foremen, Production Manager, and Division Manager of any significant issues on accounts with a response plan and resolution.
    • Collaborate with other Garden Managers to consistently analyze crew production, projected costs, and gross margins.

    • Review and analyze reports to assist in effective team planning and progress towards goals.
    • Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.
    • Attend promotional events, seminars, garden shows in the community.
    • Carry out, contribute and attain company goals while adhering to the mission statement and core values.
    • Always represent the company in a responsible and professional manner.
    • Ensure retention of clients to acceptable retention goal.
    • Attain client testimonials and referrals.

    Seasonal Snow & Other Duties:

    • Assist snow removal crews with plowing or shoveling as needed.
    • Promote snow removal services to maintenance clients year-round.
    • Special projects and duties as assigned.

    Compensation Range: $64,000 - $98,000 (Includes potential Bonus & Commission earned)
