    Job Description:
    The Department of Chemical Engineering (ChE) at the University of Florida's prestigious Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering is seeking 1 or 2 enthusiastic students to aid in performing and supporting research activities in the following areas:

    1. Development of magnetic tracers for magnetic particle imaging
    • Operation of microfluidic systems to formulate magnetic polymeric microparticles of multiple sizes in the micrometer scale.
    • Analyze microparticle data like optical microscopy imaging, particle size determination, quantification of magnetic content, sample preparation for magnetic characterization, etc
    • Upkeep materials inventory.
    2. Formulation of granular biomaterial scaffolds
    • Prepare microgel batches and keep a log record of batch size, yield, and use.
    • Solution preparation for pre-hydrogel scaffolds, solution preparation for rheology, mechanical characterization hydrogels
    • Cell culture (desired)
    • Upkeep materials inventory.
    Expected Salary:
    $15 per hour

    Minimum Requirements:
    This position is open to currently enrolled undergraduate students at the University of Florida in good academic standing.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Majoring in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or Chemistry.
