- Functions as the primary health educator to students and
- Functions as liaison with non Pressley Ridge health care providers, including primary care, specialists, and mental health providers.
- Supervises procedures for medication administration.
- Provides nursing care based on needs.
- Initiates referrals where necessary for routine physical examinations, dental examinations, immunizations. Provides screening tests as needed.
- Assists with the review and completion of medication administration records.
- Implements physician orders.
- Provides in-service/training as required
- Functions as a Licensed Professional by conducting face-to-face assessments and evaluations according to Pressley Ridge Policy titled Restraint Use in Pennsylvania Residential Treatment Facilities
- Provides consultation on and oversight of the establishment of standard procedures and protocols that create a structured and accountable system of delivery all medical services, including health education.
- Creates and reviews standard practice for standing orders for minor illness and for OTC medications.
- Participates with staff psychiatrist to assess plan, implement, and evaluate medical interventions.
