    Description

    Director, Institutional Giving & Special Programs

    The Director, Institutional Giving & Special Programs role, under the guidance of the Assistant Vice President for College Advancement, involves spearheading strategic fundraising initiatives for corporations, private foundations, and alumni. This encompasses overseeing annual fundraising events such as the De La Salle Medal Dinner and the Jaspers Sporting Clays Classic, nurturing corporate and private foundation relationships, crafting grant proposals, implementing marketing strategies, and engaging in personal meetings.

    Primary Responsibilities and Measurable Actions/Activities:

    • Lead the De La Salle Medal Dinner fundraising campaign, managing honorees, volunteer committees, donor relations, sponsorships, and other fundraising activities.
    • Collaborate with faculty and administrators to identify prospects, work on corporate and foundation grant proposals, and maintain relationships to secure funding for various projects and programs.
    • Raise funds for the Summer Engineering Awareness Program (SEAP) through research, managing mail appeals, and crafting grant proposals and stewardship reports.
    • Oversee the fundraising efforts for the Jaspers Sporting Clays Classic, including managing the relationship with Sportsmen for Charity, coordinating volunteer committees, and handling auction and raffle item solicitations.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred
    • At least five years of fundraising experience
    • Experience with Raiser's Edge is a plus
