    Eden Custom Processing located in Eden, NC has been recycling a variety of solvents including glycols and diols since 2003. Our system is centered around a hastalloy Thin Film Evaporation Unit capable of removing various impurities, including solids, to produce a pure refined solvent. In addition to our processing equipment, we house fully functioning laboratories, equipped with all necessary testing capabilities to ensure our product exceeds our customers' specifications.

    We are currently hiring a Process Technician to work second shift which will include hours from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. We offer a rotating schedule of two days on, two days off, three days on.

    The Process Technician will be responsible for:

    • Following all procedures as written;
    • Abiding by all safety requirements, wearing required PPE at all times;
    • Completing all required safety and operational training on time;
    • Arriving on time for your shift;
    • Operating all equipment and supporting services in accordance with written procedures and with required product specifications in mind. Equipment includes: boiler, cooling tower, feed system, vacuum system, air compressor and dryer, electrical controls.
    • Maintaining proper procedures for tank farm utilizing tanks, lines, manifolds, gauges, fittings, gaskets and hoses.
    • Troubleshooting and making basic repairs to equipment. Reporting any required maintenance to your supervisor promptly.
    • Monitoring all process streams for purity hourly, utilizing lab testing equipment including gas chromatograph, Karl Fischer titrator, pH titrator, colorimeter, and viscometer.
    • Troubleshooting and performing basic maintenance of lab equipment.
    • Maintaining all necessary hourly records as required for process history and quality testing.
    • Ensuring all hoses, fittings, tanks and lines are cleaned after each use.
    • L oading and Unloading tankers according to written procedure.
    • Inspecting all tanks and equipment regularly for leaks or failure and report any found to maintenance or supervisor immediately.
    • Maintaining proper housekeeping throughout facility at all times.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Mechanical aptitude.
    • Prior experience with pumps, tanks, motors, boiler, industrial maintenance.
    • Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Able to take and follow instructions.
    • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Able to stand for extended time periods.
