Description
Description:
Will perform quality analytical and microbiological testing on raw materials and finished pet food products according to SOP's to include: ph, moisture, NIR, ash, fat and protein testing.
Micro to include using aseptic technique, media preparation, Salmonella testing and plating of petrifilm and pour plates, ecoli testing, APC
Product releases, entering lab results through a LIMS system, response to emails and lab phone requests.
Perform routine calibrations and maintenance on laboratory equipment.
Will test R&D samples as requested
Will make Certificates of Analysis for customers.
Will dispose of sample and micro waste as needed in larger drums.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
BS Degree in Sciences -
Micro experience from school with aseptic technique and basic knowledge of plating samples is a huge plus. Any research or internship from school with basic chemistry is preferred as well.
