Job Summary:

The manual press operator is responsible for producing quality parts for our customers in a timely manner per the work instructions; while sustaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure safety of yourself and others at all times and communicate issues to a leader if needed
• Daily and monthly basic machine maintenance checks - use TPM sheets
• Responsibility and organization of tools that are provided to you
• Safely operate machine - controls settings such as programs, speed, quantities
• Read, understand, and follow work instructions and keep them up to date
• Produce quality parts and be able to identify and process non- conforming parts
• Understand the production schedule goals and report scheduling issues to the Team Leader
• Yield accuracy and calculation
• Understand material traceability and material return process
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work center
• Tooling knowledge - use of bolsters, sponging, and punch maintenance
• Part picking and packaging
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must be well motivated and able to work independently
• Train new operators as required
• Communicate job and/or process issues with team leader
• Complete other duties/projects as assigned by the Area Leader or Team Leader.
