    Pay Range: $ $22.00 Hourly

    Job Summary

    This position maintains a clean and comfortable environment for staff, residents, and visitors of Acacia Creek.

    Essential Functions

    • Receives and follows housekeeping and maintenance schedules and instructions from supervisor as outlined in established procedures
    • Perform routine floor care including sweeping, mopping, buffing tiled and concrete surfaces
    • Performs routine carpet care including vacuuming, extracting, and spin bonneting
    • Perform advanced floor care including stripping, prepping, and applying various sealants and finishes
    • Follows all Safety protocol as outlined in established procedures
    • Perform window cleaning as instructed by supervisor
    • Dispose of all trash and chemicals in proper containers and relines trash receptacle with plastic liners
    • Use of utility golf carts and trailers to transport items
    • Report all defective equipment and malfunctions to supervisor as soon as possible
    • Move furniture and equipment as required
    • Performs minor repairs
    • On an annual basis, will perform deep clean in all resident apartments per a preset schedule as determined by the Environmental Services Director and will follow given guidelines for procedure and standard of cleanliness
    • Attends seminars, in-services, educational or technical classes as necessary
    • Maintains records of work performed by completing work orders
    • Maintains inventory of materials on hand
    • Maintains facility key system as established by supervisor
    • Participates in management of utilities
    • Participates in surveillance activities to recognize and eliminate potential hazards in and around the buildings and grounds
    • Relates tactfully and courteously with residents
    • Regular attendance
    • Can be asked to clean Resident Apartments per cleanliness standards as needed
    • Other duties as assigned
    • Team members will obtain and demonstrate knowledge of Successful Aging philosophies through Masterpiece Living education, including the core values of Integrity, Dedication, Respect, Compassion, Teamwork and Quality. Associates will support and participate in the Successful Aging Culture (i.e., assist in new initiatives, encourage residents and act as their "coach"). Be familiar with and fluent in the language and details of Successful Aging/Masterpiece Living

    Requirements

    SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE

    • One to two years of experience in a related field, or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities
    • Ability to read, speak and understand English sufficiently to follow directions and communicate with supervisor, co-workers and residents
    • Knowledge of proper use of commercial cleaning equipment and materials
    • Possess ability to properly operate power tools and all types of common hand tools

    Educational Requirements/Licenses/Certificates

    Any combination of education and experience that would provide the necessary knowledge and abilities listed, typically:
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • First Aid certification

    • Hazardous Environment: Exposure to
    • Human body fluids (requiring use of Universal precautions)
    • Extreme heat (non-weather related hot temperatures)
    • Extreme cold (non-weather related cold temperatures)
    • Extreme noise (constant loud and very loud sounds of a pitch or level sufficient to cause marked distraction or possible hearing loss)
