Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
- Conduct engaging product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure the sales floor is stocked and organized
- Perform stock replenishment, inventory checks, and merchandise stocking throughout the shift
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Utilize strong phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors over the phone
- Assist in training new team members or supervising staff when needed, fostering a collaborative environment
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Previous supervising or leadership experience in a retail setting is preferred
- Ability to perform product demos confidently and clearly explain features to customers
- Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on active listening and clear articulation
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail math for accurate inventory management
- Experience in grocery store or similar retail environments is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products naturally without pressure
- Excellent phone etiquette for professional customer interactions over the phone
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing cash registers
