Job summary
This position plans, organizes and directs work of other surveyors and technicians engaged in surveying the earth's surface to determine precise location and measurements of points, elevations, lines, area and contours for construction mapmaking utility locations subsurface utility engineering land division titles or other purposes The successful candidate will promote safe work practices of all survey staff They will evaluate progress of the staff obtain results and recommend major changes to achieve overall results They will also represent the company in meetings and conferences with clients and potential clients

The successful candidate must be able to manage operations multiple field crews provide quality control assurance project budgets billing client management business development lead team members by providing leadership continuous performance management setting expectations goals feedback coaching that supports growth development team perform related duties assigned required skills ability dynamic fast-paced environment excellent communication written oral skills general understanding Bentley MicroStation OpenRoads AutoCAD Civil DDD successfully complete pass JMT’s Motor Vehicle screening valid Driver’s License Required Able pass Background Check required experience high school diploma equivalent years experience in surveying Professional Registered Land Surveyor Virginia working knowledge Federal State local jurisdiction regulations preferred experience familiarity subface utility designating locating VDOT Hampton Roads Municipalities aerial mapping LiDAR scanning sUAS field work occasional heat cold wet humid dry arid conditions lifting up lb needed qualified applicants receive consideration employment without regard race color religion sex sexual orientation gender identity national origin disability protected veteran status state federal law.
