    Job Description Job Description YOU MUST APPLY DIRECTLY TO THE SFDPH WESITE USING THE LINK Health Services (BHS) is increasingly expanding services under its Managed Care division which oversees the Office of Coordinated Care (OCC), Utilization Management (UM), and Quality Management (QM).

    Additionally, BHS will be standing up the Mental Health Services Center to increase access to care by providing low-threshold behavioral health services, including psychiatric services.

    The Behavioral Health Services (BHS) Deputy Medical Director of Managed Care provides effective leadership and strategic direction in the partnership with the areas of service under the Director of Managed Care.


    Role:
    The role will be 10-30% dedicated to clinical responsibilities with the remaining 70-90% dedicated to Deputy Medical Director responsibilities

    Minimum Qualifications:


    Current valid CA licensure issued by the Medical Board of California or the Osteopathic Medical Board of California*Current valid DEA license from the DOJ
    Successful completion of an accredited residency program by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or American Osteopathic Association in a Psychiatric medical specialty area (i.e., Board Eligible)Five (5) years of post-residency experience as a practicing Psychiatrist Possession of valid Board Certification in a Psychiatric medical specialty area can substitute for two (2) years of the required post-residency experience as a practicing PsychiatristApplicants possessing a valid license to practice medicine issued from another state within the United States of America may apply, but if selected, the candidate will NOT be appointed/hired until they obtain a valid license to practice medicine issued by the Medical Board of California or the Osteopathic Medical Board of California.The above minimum qualifications reflect special conditions associated with the position(s) to be filled.
