    Description:

    The Document Control (DC) Specialist will play a key role in ensuring quality, integrity, traceability and compliance of project documentation.

    They will be responsible for following and enforcing the established policies, standards,procedures and guidelines to meet the document control requirements.

    The DC Specialist will work with subject matter

    experts and multidisciplinary teams on OWNER side to ensure compliant and efficient use of the OWNER Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).

    The DC Specialist will coordinate, track and manage overall document registration, distribution, reviews and expedite tasks to meet target completion dates.


    MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for overall management of controlled documents within the projects.
    • Perform document control functions within the Electronic Document Management System.
    • Supports users with training, first level support and Document Control requests for processing of documentation.
    • Help identify gaps and opportunities to improve current documentation methods.
    • Perform document quality assurance audits on incoming and outgoing documentation.
    • Manage registers and trackers, provide metrics and status reports to team members.
    • Structure, check and compile final deliverables, ensure requirements are met.
    • Investigates and responds to corrective actions related to all Document Control functions.
    • Good working knowledge of types of engineering drawings and technical documentation.
    • Ensures effective communication and coordination with the project teams, engineering contractors and other stakeholders.

    INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL INTERFACES:

    • Information Management and Document Control
    • Other project disciplines such as Engineering, HSE, QA/QC, Contracts & Procurement, Operations, etc.
    • EPCm Contractor DC

    REQUIRED COMPETENCIES/ QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / PROFILE:

    • High school diploma or GED equivalency is required, some college preferred.
    • Minimum 8 years' relevant experience in a Document Control role.
    • Relevant experience in the use of Electronic Document Management Systems, processes and best practices
    required.


    • Relevant experience working with engineering and project management documentation on capital projects
    required.


    • Solid analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
    • Must be able to complete assigned tasks independently with minimal instruction and have the initiative to
    obtain guidance on new assignments when needed.


    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Effective time management to support the ability to deliver within strict timelines.
    • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
    • Documentum, Core for Capital Projects (CCP) and SharePoint experience preferred, but not required.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft applications; familiar with Adobe, Brava.
