- Requesting bids from suppliers and participate in bid evaluations/costing analysis
- Ability to negotiate with internal and external parties
- Understands and ensures proper product flow and inventory management
- Determines and maintains min / max inventory stock levels of critical materials
- Researches all sources for materials from current or potential suppliers
- Enter purchase orders and process receiver paperwork for delivered orders
- Follow up on open orders and in transit deliveries
- Coordinate with shipping department and suppliers for pick up and/or delivery notification
- Support existing and creation of new metrics for vendor evaluation/report carding
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP Functionality
- Proficiency in data management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel, Outlook and Word
- Highly organized with attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective professional communication with internal staff and external suppliers to maintain a high degree of business etiquette
- Problem solving skills
- Must be able to read and write in English
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 3+ years of office experience required with at least 1 year in a purchasing environment
- Durable goods manufacturing experience preferred
- HOURS: Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Description
Works within the Purchasing department to conduct day to day operations for assigned Vendors/Suppliers. Interacts with suppliers to place orders, monitor open orders, manage/prevent backorders, schedule deliveries, and maintain pricing and any other activities related to bringing materials into the factory. Interacts with internal personnel as a liaison to suppliers.
