Application control Specialist: Java/Cloud/Infra - Plano, United States - Genesis10

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX
This is a 12 + month contract position


Responsibilities:

• Responsible for application ownership with regard to audit, governance, and maintenance
• Manage to timelines and have matrix management responsibility
• Build positive give-and-take relationships with stakeholders
• Ability to prioritize, lead work efforts, interact with application leaders, and engage/influence Third Party stakeholders across the company
• Responsible for responding to audit/regulatory requests as well as escalating and presenting issues to governance forums as it pertains to Third Party Business Continuity
• Involved preparing the governance documents needed for the new initiatives and enhancements in collaboration with development/test leads, project managers, and external vendor partners
• Develop and maintain strong relationships across Enterprise Resiliency, Global Procurement, Global Information Security, as well as FLU Third Party oversight programs

Requirements:

• 5-7+ years of applicable experience
• 4-6 years of hands-on experience in development/engineer roles coding in Java or Ruby apps hosted in Cloud
• 4-6 years of hands-on experience working with Information Security to ensure vendor application vulnerability remediations
• Knowledge of Infrastructure Technology programs and projects and Infrastructure delivery projects (servers, storage, network, etc.)
• Experience with the Continuity Planning Tool (CPT), ARC and Data Restore process, and Third-Party Testing process
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with quick adaptation to new technologies, methodologies, and systems
• Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to convey message to a broad audience
• Detail-oriented and persistent; able to drive complicated tasks through to completion
• Ability to work in a globally, cross functional, collaborative team environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills; positive attitude; team player; flexible
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to lead meetings, follow-up, negotiate and resolve ambiguity
• Keen attention to detail and strong sense of ownership and accountability for work
• Motivated to work closely and cooperatively with other team members of varying levels of seniority and experience
• Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work with little to no supervision

Desired skills:

• Experience with defect management systems such as ALM or JIRA
• Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• Functional Knowledge of Banking / Payments Domain

Pay Range: $ $66.26
