    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Health First Cancer Institute (HFCI), the leading multi-disciplinary oncology group in Brevard County, Florida, is looking to add a Hematology Oncology APRN or PA to our experienced team of cancer specialists.

    PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Evaluation and treatment of hematology and oncology patients at our Viera and Palm Bay locations.
  • Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine labs, x-rays, etc.
  • Monitor the patients' treatment plans and make appropriate referrals to a physician as needed.
  • Counsel and educate patients and their families about disease, treatment plans, wellness care, and survivorship plans.
  • Collaborate with supervising physician(s) and staff, as necessary to provide consistent care to patients.
  • Provide appropriate direction to clinic staff regarding patient care issues.
  • Support education of inpatient and outpatient oncology nursing teams.
  • Oversee treatment infusions and supportive care needs.
  • Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner.

    • Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Current, valid Florida APRN or PA license.
  • Current AHA BLS Provider Certification.
  • 1-2 years of experience as APRN or PA in Hematology/Oncology preferred.
  • ONS Certification preferred.
