- Installs, checks, and replaces equipment, repairs equipment, and performs preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure continuous services and operations of systems for patient care in a safe and comfortable way.
- Supports construction and renovation projects.
- Executes various tasks related to implementing Life Safety and Utilities Management plans and meeting regulatory requirements.
- Conducts tasks involving electrical skills.
- Adheres to Hospital and Department policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or higher education.
- Completion of formal training in a certified or degreed vocational program, Military program, or apprentice program, with at least two (2) years of experience (substitutable with six (6) years of relevant trade skill experience).
- Ability to analyze and solve problems in alignment with professional standards and codes.
- Positive attitude and teamwork abilities.
- Essential certification as a "Journeyman Electrician" by a nationally recognized Testing Agency.
- Completion of nonviolent crisis prevention training within the orientation period, to be refreshed annually.
- Understanding of NFPA, KBC, OSHA, TJC & NEC standards is beneficial.
